Americans are paying more than almost any other country for wireless. Consolidation and reduced competition are driving up costs.

The FCC is not focused enough on affordability.

I've had hospitals tell me that one uninsured person can cost millions of dollars by just constantly coming to the hospital. So when Republicans take away health insurance for 15M Americans, they are increasing costs for everyone.

We need to keep people covered to help reduce costs for everyone.

My heart goes out to the families impacted by the Brown University shooting. These shootings have become all too frequent. We need to do more to keep all schools and their students safe.

The world should condemn the senseless and horrific attack at a Hanukkah celebration in Australia. Our world should respect all religions. Jewish people should feel safe in their own communities every single day, but especially as they celebrate their holidays.

Today I toured flooding damage in Snohomish County. We're hearing that everybody worked together, first in the preparation and planning, and then in the execution and cooperation. Give the community the tools, and the community will respond.

At 2pm PT I'm joining a press conference about the WA floods to share how today's federal disaster declaration will help. Watch HERE:

Thank you for the fast emergency declaration! Thank you for helping respond to our infrastructure needs. Thank you for supporting our first responders. Thank you!
I just received a phone call from Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem. Secretary Noem informed me that the president signed our request for an emergency declaration. We have also received written confirmation of that emergency declaration.

I joined Washington state’s entire Congressional delegation in urging President Trump to approve an expedited Emergency Declaration for the devastating storms and severe flooding hitting WA communities. Our letter:

Premiums are going to increase by hundreds or thousands of dollars every month for the same coverage people had this year.

I'm asking my colleagues: let's roll up our sleeves. Let’s work to lower these health care costs.

I just got off the phone with the National Weather Service and am alarmed to hear that the Skagit River will peak 4-5 feet above the record crest level. Please please please stay alert and follow evacuation orders. This is not just another flood.

Fast, traffic-free, affordable transportation infrastructure is going to pay dividends for generations to come.

We fought for over $1 billion in federal investment in this project – and despite the first Trump administration’s obstruction, we got it done.

The Arctic National Wildlife Refuge—often called "America’s Serengeti"—is one of the largest untouched ecosystems on our planet.

I spoke on the Senate floor against efforts to overturn ANWR’s land management plan and allow oil and gas drilling in these pristine public lands.

Washington state produces amazing agricultural products that the whole world wants to buy, but Trump’s tariff chaos is sabotaging decades of hard work winning overseas shelf space. Washington farmers don’t want a meager bailout, they want to be able to export their goods across the globe. (1/2)

Today we honor the 2,403 Americans who lost their lives in the attack on Pearl Harbor. On this 84th anniversary, we are reminded that we must never take the sacrifices of those who serve for granted.

When the administration talks about how much revenue is coming from these tariffs, the revenue is coming right out of the pockets of Americans.

The American people were promised lower prices. Where are they?

Giving the powerful more power to snuff out competition is not the way to go.
A bipartisan group of former antitrust enforcers sound the alarm: the SCORE Act goes too far by granting the NCAA & big conferences antitrust immunity the courts have explicitly rejected. Any college sports reform MUST protect athletes not monopolies.

I urge NOAA to immediately restore funding to the Alaska Earthquake Center, an important partner for real-time seismic data used in tsunami warnings.

I am deeply concerned that NOAA's cancellation of this grant poses risks to Washington and the entire West Coast. My letter ⬇️

With so much riding on the reliable transportation of fuel through BP's Olympic Pipeline, we need to understand what caused the recent leak and why a blueberry farmer—not BP—first identified the spill. My letter to BP's CEO:
