Airlines should compensate you when their mistakes cause delays. U.S. DOT is nixing the proposed rule that would have required this. Congress passed consumer protections in last year’s FAA Reauthorization Act. DOT needs to implement them, not undermine them.

Families shouldn’t have to pay predatory prices simply to stay connected to incarcerated loved ones. The FCC’s 2024 rule delivered long-overdue relief — cutting prison phone rates in half and banning junk fees. Undermining the rule is illegal and unjust. #MarthaWrightReedAct

Today, the Commerce Committee passed our bipartisan aviation safety bill responding to the DCA collision. This marks an important step towards safer skies for all.

Following the tragic January DCA midair collision, this bipartisan agreement mandates ADS-B In technology by 2031, requires Army accountability measures, and establishes formal FAA-Pentagon information sharing. Safety must always be our top priority!
