On the topic of a 3rd potus term, I can't shake the memory of Barrett's evasive answer on 22A in an interview last month when asked if it would be an easy decision:

"Welll, that’s, you know, that’s what the amendment says, right? You know, after FDR had four terms, that’s what that amendment says."

This has the likely benefit (to 47) of preventing the release the Epstein files.

An innocent person would release the files.
NEW: Further eroding the DOJ’s longstanding tradition of independence and apolitical law enforcement, Attorney General Pam Bondi publicly thanked Trump for ordering an investigation into alleged ties between Jeffrey Epstein and top Democrats.

Cats have the right idea. The news is bad, it's rainy, grey, and warm-cold-warm-cold.

Marshawn has severe sleep disturbbances & injuries before I adopted him. After multiple falls, trips down the stairs in his bed while asleep (not kidding), he gets a cave bed on an orthopedic bed on the floor.

Why is anyone buying starbucks anyway? Did everyone forget about their exploited employees and Gaza when they saw the honey bear cup?

Hit them in the profits. It's the only consequence they care about or understand. #BOYCOTT

Absolute must read on the AI bailout-in-progress: apparently it's not enough that lifetimes of human ingenuity and creativity have been stolen and enclosed to create generative AI and balloon billionaire wealth - much more public looting is in store...
This week Open AI walked back a call for the govt to backstop financing for its trillion dollar investments in data centers. This was only the tip of the iceberg; a slow bailout for AI firms is already underway. Read more from @ambakak.bsky.social and I in @wsj.com: www.wsj.com/opinion/you-...

The scientific evidence overwhelmingly shows that medication abortion is safe and effective, and we'll never stop fighting for our reproductive freedom.

Interesting. A man gets out of his car at an intersection, pulling a gun on the woman in the car behind him. A cop sees this and stops to assist the woman. The man claims that he is an ICE agent and the woman was following him. She says she lives nearby. This could have ended badly, . . .

I look forward to gluesenkamp perez, delbene, and cantwell being replaced when they are up for re-election.

We need real democratic/independent fighters in WA. Corporate dems have caused the majority of our dysfunction. It won't get better until we vote better.
NOW: Voting is underway on the shutdown deal in the House. So far, dems Gluesenkamp Perez, Adam Gray, and Jared Golden have voted yes. So the dems couldn't get unanimity on this in the House, either.

Mike Johnson didn’t stall her swearing-in by accident—he did it on purpose.

Because protecting predators was apparently more urgent than serving the people.
