Giving you the same advice as if Kamala had won and we were arguing about a budget resolution right now: focus on what you can do. Even the littlest thing. What they want is for civil society to rot away. Doing anything to keep it going helps.
I feel like I’m personally failing Mr. Garcia and the others and I don’t know what to do with it.

I’m worried he’s already passed away and the Trump admin is covering it up. This whole shit makes me sick.

No one should be above the law, most especially the President.

Ignoring a Supreme Court ruling to facilitate Kilmar Abrego Garcia's return isn't just cruel; it's unconstitutional.

They're saying the quiet part aloud — if they get away with it now, they'll do it to anyone.

Remember the task now is to disseminate the images of the protests to people who didn’t see them and project a sense of their size and significance. Huge numbers of people turned out today, let’s make their dedication count!

We've all been there, you have a group project due, no one can agree on how to do it and you procrastinate until the night before, so one person has to do all the work and they phone it in. And then boom, there goes the global economy...

1/🧵 Judges across ideological lines are ruling against Trump at strikingly similar rates (84% liberal, 86% centrist, 82% conservative). This isn't partisan opposition to Trump—it's the judiciary functioning as intended by cutting across partisan lines to uphold the Constitution.

Here. I wrote about the point of deciding to just fight and die on a hill rather than endlessly calculating the best moment to put up an opposition.

When AOC and Adam Kinzinger are both furious at Chuck Schumer, for the exact same reason, maybe you need to give up the idea this is just a backlash coming from far left activists.

In an interview, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the health and human services secretary, outlined a strategy for containing the measles outbreak in West Texas that strayed far from mainstream science, relying heavily on fringe theories about prevention and treatments.

In a recent interview, the health secretary also suggested that the measles vaccine had harmed children in West Texas, center of an outbreak.

'americans have oppositional defiant disorder' is both the country's curse and its potential salvation
I think what this shows is that most people aren't actually anti-vax, they're just extremely obstinate about being asked to do anything even slightly inconvenient when they don't see an immediate benefit for themselves
In Texas, said one doctor: “We’ve vaccinated multiple kids that have never been vaccinated before, some from families that didn’t believe in vaccines.”

Every outlet needs to be shouting that Trump is defunding this children’s hospital. Find other examples like it and broadcast them widely
Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania has indirect rate of 70%, but they probably didn’t want to list that atop Harvard because defunding a children’s hospital might be perceived as problematic.

This is devastating
These overhead rates are negotiated. Lowering it unilaterally to 15% is another way to destroy science in the US. Can’t wait to see what’s next.
