When Republicans say they’re for “cutting taxes,” they don’t mean yours.

NH Republicans rejected $28 million in state aid that would have helped ease local property taxes.

One of our country's greatest war criminals just died, the president is arguing with himself about whether or not to let 40 million people starve, and there is an actual courtroom drama about a five dollar footlong.

How are any of us supposed to maintain emotional regulation.

I haven’t seen anyone talk about how Jane Doe - an Epstein survivor - just sued the Bank of New York Mellon for funding Epstein and failing to file a Suspicious Activity Report. A Mellon heir is the one who gave $130M to pay the troops. Seems bribey to me.

We should have seen it coming — this moment right now — a long time ago, whenever it was that we made politics a central form of entertainment.

Here’s a new one, on what 100 imaginary villagers can teach us about economic inequality. (And also, NH needs an income tax and the US needs Medicare for All.)
The villagers are restless, but not in the way they should be • New Hampshire Bulletin
If we were a village of 100 instead of a nation of 340 million, I wonder if the perceptions would be different.

Have you ever read a thread that *perfectly* distills a significant phenomenon (here, our political family dynamic) in a satisfying yet infuriating way?

For me, this is that thread:
Anyone who has experience in an abusive household, or who has worked with people in them, or has read a lot about them, will be familiar with a particular dynamic:

Dad is full of loud passions & intense moods, sweeping through like a thunderstorm, unpredictable, volatile, often violent. He is ...

There's something people need to understand about these school shootings. Every time one occurs, we devolve into these conversations on race, gender identity, and political ideology, but I dont think it's any of that

There's a long-standing pattern that needs to be investigated
