Gotta do a massssssssive push on phone noise on buses. Has to have big top down element. Expecting individuals to do it alone won’t work

Broke: insinuating your wife is a prostitute in the comments section of the Plymouth Herald.

Bespoke: spreading details to journalists about my elderly dog’s death to smear my name.

Truth coming out of her toilet to shame mankind.
I doubt I will ever see a more inspired bit of upcycling.

Why? If this went viral, what exactly would happen? Nothing. Nada. Nowt.

Unironically think we could find one. Mutuals, do your worst!
Definitely think we need to find a vicar who backs liberating the Postcode Address File to get some coverage on this show.

If it's Cary Grant's birthday, it must surely be time for me to post the "puppy in the jacket pocket" picture again. Be rude not to, really.

I do like a bit of inaccurate or unexpected information when planning a rail journey.

‘Here are the details of your trip from London to Milton Keynes. Take the 13:27 to Pontypridd and continue your journey by courgette. The cheapest ticket is a Mallaig to Newry annual season pass for 3,218 złoty.’
Just had the “try our updated app” email from Trainline. If it wasn’t so depressing it’d be hilarious.

What’s the ONE thing you want with travel information…?

Seems unfair that you only get to use the bouncy slide to get off a plane when things have gone wrong. The bouncy slide should be a treat they give to the best passengers who did the flight correctly.

I braved Westfield Stratford on a Saturday afternoon and emerged unscathed. Just about worth it to obtain replacement nose studs (which are apparently difficult to find now) but my word.

This photo was taken in 1911 using glass plate technology by Herbert Ponting who was part of Scott's Antarctic expedition,

The composition and detail are exquisite with the band of white snow/ice creating a perfect frame around the two people and the ship in the distance

Iconic imo

Waking up to BBC Radio 3, as I sometimes do, makes me feel roughly 50% more sophisticated 🧐but just sometimes they go and drop in references I don’t understand and that slightly counteracts the effect.
(I did not know a horsey painting or who Bill Evans is.)

Yesterday I was talking about the Garden of Eden as a myth. About our ability to do the wrong things and make good things bad.

Myths are always with us.
I’ve watched a 4tb M.2 drive I was waiting to buy go from $260 to $420 to $570 in under 3 months

Price increase is because AI data centers eating up all the hardware

Why does everything keep getting worse like it’s some compulsive need for humans, to enshitify everything?

Hooded spirits have been found all over Gaul referred to as the Genii Cucullati. Which he could be one. He is labeled as possibly Priapas but without the beard he would resemble the Roman fertility child god Telesphoros.

There’s a shop in Oxford on Ship Street which, for ages, had a handpainted a-frame board out on the cornmarket directing people to No 1 Sheep Street, which in context was absolutely an ESL error but it made me smile every time because five hundred years ago, that was indeed sheep street
What I also love are the businesses (e.g. Army Street Florists) that flatly refuse to change their names just because the street has been renamed (Cesar Chavez St., San Francisco).

Definitely want my author brand to advertise who tupped me.
Talking about your author brand may feel "icky" but in a competitive market it's crucial to stand out. In an article first published in our quarterly journal, The Author, Rishi Dastidar makes the case for the value of branding. buff.ly/6Mr3g0Y
