the for-profit adoption industry is legalized child trafficking

surrogacy is a horror

borders are fake. abolish them

no nation-state or corporation has "rights." people do

the industrial meat industry is a sin that cries to God for justice

it should be illegal to gamble or advertise gambling
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

BREAKING: At Pope Leo XIV’s urging, U.S. Catholic bishops just delivered the strongest rebuke of a sitting president in Church history — condemning Trump-Vance raids as “inhumane” and “dehumanizing” in a 216–5 vote.
NEW: At Pope Leo’s Urging, Bishops Issue Historic Rebuke of Trump’s Raids
Nearly all U.S. Catholic bishops united in Baltimore to denounce the Trump administration’s “inhumane” deportation campaign — a near-unanimous, unprecedented moral stand against a sitting president.

if you are food insecure for both the humans and pets in your household there is a tool called Pet Help Finder that can help locate pet food banks nearby and other free or reduced price assistance and supplies for pets.
no one, ABSOLUTELY NO ONE, should have to give up their pet bc of this.

the best thing abt returning to analog writing is that no one reads what u stab into ur poetry journal (sorry i had a visceral reaction to Trillionaire and i don't want to concern my assigned government agent with it)

pre-writing a devastating obituary for your enemy is god-tier hating of a kind you don’t often see anymore. renaissance haterism. beautiful stuff.
A Sharon Begley byline, almost 5 years after her death.

Upon hearing the news James Watson had died, a STAT reporter said in our Slack, "I wish I could read what Sharon would have written."

Incredible news: Sharon in fact did pre-write a Watson obit. And it is masterful and excoriating.

Please if anyone has room in their lives and homes for two very very sweet kitties. A good friend’s allergies are getting worse and he can’t keep them (and they can’t be separated)
Putting this out into the ether but a friend of mine has two cats, a bonded mother daughter pair ~5 years old, that he has to rehome for allergy reasons. They’re extremely cuddly and he’s heartbroken. Mid-Atlantic. Let me know if anyone wants some loveable kitties.

I'm glad "the year of Dramione" is a thing because it clearly illustrates how the wizard kidlit franchise is being kept culturally relevant by cishet women who can't stop cranking it to plausibly deniable Nazi porn they hallucinated in their favorite children's media.

this story is horrifying and universities NEED to accept that ChatGPT is actively harmful
1.This is not the only known example we know of ChatGPT cheering on a vulnerable young person to die by suicide, this time it is a recent Texas A&M grad
2. Every single university that has invited OpenAI into our midst should be asked to account for their choices.
