That any legal people still take JB even slightly seriously instead of treating him like another Cleta Mitchell or John Eastman is wild and an absolute indictment and disgrace to the entire legal academia and profession.
josh blackman contends that the equal protection clause allows discrimination against unpopular groups out of pure animus. I’ll just observe that the Court did not need Justice Kennedy to reach the opposite conclusion generations ago.

My brother in law is being sued for defamation and loss of income for badmouthing another person to venues saying he was bad business & saying he SA’d someone. Anyone know any 1A/defamation lawyers in NC? Dummy BIL decided to do this in a non-anti-SLAPP state so he def needs help.

Elected Democrats spending more time today praising Dick Cheney than Zohran Mamdani is a great case study in abject fucking moral failure.

White apartheid South African unfamiliar with how ballots work in New York State. More news at 11.
Elon Musk on Tuesday complained about the position of Andrew Cuomo’s name on the New York City ballot and the fact that it appeared only once, while Zohran Mamdani and Curtis Sliwa's names appeared twice. But the listings are in keeping with the normal rules of the city's elections. Here's why.
Why Zohran Mamdani and Curtis Sliwa Are on the Ballot Twice for NYC Mayor
The listings follow the normal rules for ballots in New York City.

FYI, if you want the history on why @menardsofficial.bsky.social is awful and been anti-labor anti-worker for forever, listen to @badlawyerpod.bsky.social episode where they deep dive on how the store once fired someone for putting a wheelchair ramp on their home.

Never seen someone I disagree with on so many levels be so accurate and speak truth to power this much with such conviction and sincerity. He's an honest man. Disagree so much on so many things, but he's honest.
Curtis Silwa was asked if he felt okay with losing and contributing to Zohran Mamdani’s victory and he responded by laying into Bill Ackman and Andrew Cuomo.

90 FUCKING PERCENT

i’d love for cis folks to remember what the nyt, atlantic, guardian, daily mail, times of london, ny post, cnn, wall street journal, & economist took from your transgender neighbors & loved ones before the next time you consider giving them money or listening to a word they say.
It’s almost like when you don’t have a rabidly trans-hostile media ecosystem, people generally support human rights.

Until we have another branch of government that will stand up to this president & this administration across the executive, we will continue to see blatant flouting of laws & judicial precedent & the constitution. We live in autocracy until/unless Congress/SCOTUS push back.

Here's the thing w/ this billionaire bill - there will be no political cost for the GOP. They did this exact same thing in 2017. They lost the House, but actually GAINED seats in Senate in '18. And it wasn't a negative on them in '20 or '24 general. Same in previous cycles too.

To be clear, Amazon has the equivalent of Northrop Grumman or US Bancorp in cash on its balance sheet as of end Q1. And that's been consistent for a long time. Bezos has a net worth of Morgan Stanley, American Express, or Disney. And he's done shit all with his wealth to help people.
“You can still be rich even if you’re not a billionaire!” Sure—and if you strip billions from someone like Jeff Bezos, he’ll invest less in building things that actually improve people’s lives. Amazon has done more for the average person than the government could dream of.
