I am a big fan of "bad movie" shows. MST3K, Flop House, WHM, HDTGM, etc., but a few years ago I thought, "why not do the opposite? do a podcast praising hated, bad, or underappreciated movies." so I did.

the guest *always* likes the movie, and I provide historical context for the negativity. 😉

I dunno. Life of Brian mocked the Bible and that movie is very funny.
LOL -- Moskowitz wraps up his 5 minutes by asking Bondi what oppo she has on him, and he then gets out a whiteboard and marker to grade her

Bondi replies by saying, "there's nothing funny about mocking the Bible and holding up a Trump Bible. I find it offensive"

um, more likely she's just a sleazy asshole.
Bondi is clearly going through menopause. “…mood changes and "brain fog," often begin during perimenopause (mid-40s to early 50s) - along with irrational moods and temper tantrums

I saw that! it was an early press screening here in Philly.
The Royal Tenenbaums with the original "Hey Jude", not the cover
Have asked this before and always like the responses. What are your biggest “I saw that in the first run cinema” flexes? Couple of mine:

Transformers: The Movie (1986)
Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (1993)
Office Space (1999)

not sure how wide the release is gonna be, but if Redux Redux is playing near you next week, SEE IT. excellent sci-fi thriller about a woman who jumps multiple dimensions to kill one man multiple times.

I saw @luckymckee.bsky.social's May during its very brief theatrical run. And now we're good friends. ❤️

...nah.
I understand why people are exhausted by AI hype, and why those of us squarely in the corner of "human dignity uber alles" see AI doomerism as self-serving hype, but I *really* think people on the left broadly need to start thinking seriously about the possibiltiy of the hype being...true.

she sounds like Burke from Aliens right after he's caught.
Lieu plays Bondi the infamous clip of Trump & Epstein partying together & asks her if there were underaged girls at any party the two attended

"This is so ridiculous," Bondi says. "There's no evidence that Donald Trump has committed a crime"

"I believe you just lied under oath," Lieu replies

Bill Maher. talks a lot; says nothing.
Not to be relentlessly negative, but let’s enjoy ourselves a bit.

Who is the Dumbest Guy That Has A Reputation For Being Smart?

Musk seems the clear winner, so let’s say: who else might be in the Top 10?

I’ll start the proceedings with Ezra Klein, the Abundance boy. Not impressive!

so that's 3 adaptations of The Mist and 0 of The Regulators.
Mike Flanagan is set to write and direct a new film adaptation of Stephen King’s ‘THE MIST’ for Warner Bros.

The story follows a group of townsfolk locked in a grocery store after a thick mysterious fog emerges that hides deadly creatures.

when a scene is too long my brain yells, "that's right! shoot it all!" 🤣
Does anyone else have an MST3K line they use regularly, even if it makes no sense out of context?

Because I have both "That'll keep your panfish down for a while." and "Come come, boys, we must confound Jerry at every turn!" from MST3K the movie alone.

I know the folks saying Bad Bunny (an American performer from Puerto Rico) doesn’t “properly represent America” were just as angry when U2, The Rolling Stones and The Who did the halftime show, right?
