I am a big fan of "bad movie" shows. MST3K, Flop House, WHM, HDTGM, etc., but a few years ago I thought, "why not do the opposite? do a podcast praising hated, bad, or underappreciated movies." so I did.

it was also a box office flop, which sucks.
I know reviews were kinda mid on it upon release, and some of the criticisms are fair, but I think it's a blast (and an underrated Connery performance). It's such a great concept that I'm surprised it hasn't been remade at least once by now.

not sure how wide the release is gonna be, but if Redux Redux is playing near you next week, SEE IT. excellent sci-fi thriller about a woman who jumps multiple dimensions to kill one man multiple times.

I understand why people are exhausted by AI hype, and why those of us squarely in the corner of "human dignity uber alles" see AI doomerism as self-serving hype, but I *really* think people on the left broadly need to start thinking seriously about the possibiltiy of the hype being...true.
