Lower court judges are baffled by stays that contradict direct on point SCOTUS precedent from just one year ago which BK joined in full, and it sounds like BK is baffled about what he did a year ago too. Maybe too much Pabst over the summer Brett.

Imagine going this in depth to try to kill a likely innocent man where the only real evidence against was a witness who took a plea to testify against, contradicted his own testimony multiple times, & lied abt being under psych care. & no other evidence.

It’s a sad state of affairs and also entirely indicative of the Christian right in this country that a socialist atheist is better versed and more adherent to the teachings of Jesus than professed, demonstrative, outspoken “Christians”.

I respect Adler a lot but this is a bad take. The pardon power is rife with bad optics & corrupt intent from the start. See TFG pardoning his son-in-law's father, or Bannon/Flynn/Stone. Clinton & Rich & his half-bro. Bush 1 w/Iran Contra, Bush 2 w/Libby. It's the nature of unchecked pardon power.
