When we're finally talking about an evidence-based drugs policy, I always pour one out for Prof David Nutt, who was sacked as a government health advisor in 2009 for stating simply that drug policy and public health outcomes bear no relation to one another. Correct 17 years too soon.

It’s okay to feel disgusted at things you don’t like, the same way it’s okay to be angry when you stub your toe or despondent when a relationship doesn’t work out. Some folks still really need to do the work of understanding that their emotions are simply tools for themselves, not edicts for others.
