It’s okay to feel disgusted at things you don’t like, the same way it’s okay to be angry when you stub your toe or despondent when a relationship doesn’t work out. Some folks still really need to do the work of understanding that their emotions are simply tools for themselves, not edicts for others.

This is why it’s so important for broad union protection and regulations for workers’ dignity. If every company in the industry is forced to hold itself to a higher standard on worker treatment by unified threats, it’s no longer competitively disadvantageous to treat people right.

Sexuality is a neutral act until proven harmful or helpful, not guilty until proven innocent. This is coming from a survivor who’s also ace; we cannot buy into the idea of sexuality being inherently taboo. That’s how you get people reflexively avoiding the topic or even unable to understand periods.

I just got a letter from a non profit that buys out the tail end of people’s indigent medical debt for my hospitalization related to working at an inner city school 7 years ago.
Apparently I can use the letter and the ID on it to prove to any debt collectors I don’t have to pay the account.

To some extent, everyone is trans. If you define being trans as behavioral and physiological changes that diverge from the two most dominant archetypes of sex and gender, literally everyone has diverged from those expectations - trans people just represent a greater degree of divergence.

What they *want* is to manufacture through propaganda a lower price for the environment and for human resources. That's why conservative elements are so consistently supportive of racism and sexism as well as disdainful of floral and faunal resources.
