CBS is cooked. It's been a few decades coming but we are witnessing the death of American journalism. Nothing good follows in the aftermath of that.
Per NY Times’s Michael Grynbaum on X, this is Sharyn Alfonsi’s email to her “60 Minutes” colleagues in full:

WOW: The DOJ has DELETED an image from its release of the Epstein files that shows photos of Trump in a drawer.

Yesterday, we noted that this image — file 468 — likely slipped through the cracks while officials were attempting to hide materials pertaining to Trump.

Now, it’s gone.

#BREAKING: Over dissents from the three democratic appointees, #SCOTUS puts Texas's new House maps back into effect for (and, presumably, through) the 2026 midterms.

The three Democratic appointees, in an opinion by Justice Kagan, dissent.

I'll post the ruling shortly.

Yes, what a shame that people are holding onto their $700 to $1000 devices longer as their prices continue to rise and the differentiation between each model becomes less and less over time. What a dumb framing, “device hoarding”.
Americans are holding onto devices longer than ever and it's costing the economy
Americans are holding onto devices longer than ever before, and while it may be consumer smart, it comes at a cost to work productivity and the U.S. economy.

But somehow, cancer research is what they call wasteful spending. Absurd.

This is so so disturbing. Trump is now pardoning January 6th rioters for unrelated crimes, just to reward them for their violence to keep him in power.

The Republican Party is in the full time business of endorsing and incentivizing political violence. So scary.

NARRATOR: Neither of these things are really good ideas

One is the fruits of executive overreach that SCOTUS will hopefully strike down, in which case there will be no money to fund it

The other makes it even less likely most people will ever truly own a home while lining the pockets of big banks
QUINTANILLA: What's more likely -- a $2,000 tariff rebate check or a 50 year mortgage?

HASSETT: They're both really good ideas

Perfect. 60 Minutes edited out an important part of its Trump interview in which he boasts about extracting millions from its parent company on an utterly meritless claim . . . that 60 Minutes selectively edited its Kamala Harris interview.
I see that CBS chose not to air this part. It probably explains much of what they did decide to air.

This really illustrates Trump’s lack of interest in both history and character, and his commitment to the enshittification of everything. This looks like what people imagine a “rich” hotel bathroom is, while simultaneously echoing one of those bath fitter things on TV they do in an afternoon.

Trump couldn't handle an ad that featured real words by Ronald Reagan and had a temper tantrum so now we're boxed out of trading with one of our biggest trading partners and strongest allies. Pure ego and incompetence are going to economically devastate working families.
Carney: "We can't control the trade policy of the US. We recognize it has fundamentally changed from the policy in the 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, & it's a situation where US has tariffs against every trading partner... what we we can control is developing new partnerships, including w/econ giants of Asia"

Here’s the original clip of Ronald Reagan from April 25, 1987, where he delivered a complete and total rebuke against tariffs. Trump's calling Reagan’s words here “FAKE” and “fraudulent.” They’re 100% real. And the original clip is actually far worse for Trump, as much is left out of the ad:
