When I was 10 I went to a holiday Chess camp with everyone playing 20 games over 5 days. I lost 19 and drew 1. I got a trophy as a "participant". When I got home I told my mum I'd won the tournament and she proudly displayed the trophy. It sat there on the mantelpiece for years.
