imo "violence aimed at elites from non-elites" is the category of violence most disfavored in elite discourse. and violence that flows from elites to non-elites is not conceived of as violence at all. and these ideas frame the entire elite conception of who charlie kirk was and what his murder means

The harsh crackdown on anyone who doesn't properly mourn Charlie Kirk and pretend he was a good guy is polarizing me more and more in the opposite direction.

Most mental illnesses, in my experience, are maladaptive protective instincts. It's so important to try to teach these parts of you that there's nothing to fear, that you can trust and be safe again. Listen to the concerns different parts of you have and reassure them, and get loved ones to help
