Ah shit I just described the year.
If it made sense it wouldn't be believable.

It isn't the Johnson County platform.

It's the law here.

(I speak for my employer.)
Every 2026 Democrat should have "We're going to shut down the AI Data Centers that make the billionaires richer while raising your power bills" as a part of their platform

I did, in fact, call the number.

Was easier than going to Confession.
this time of year brings a mix of emotions, i know.

i hope this season, whatever you celebrate or may be struggling through, brings you a bit of peace somewhere.

this may be a message for you. maybe just give it a call.

I'll be rewatching the documentary on it shortly, as a reminder of the cost of hubris.

Goodness, if you were alive in the 80s in Iowa you watched town after town whip-sawed by legacy packing house closings after they had first exacted concessions from the unions, broke them, and drained town coffers to boot. This is a cyclical curse and will never not be.
Lexington has outlived its usefulness to the Corporation. It's nothing more than P&L, and somehow human capital never shows up on the asset side of the ledger.

This was a legal decision, not a political one, but anyone who can see a church by daylight understands the law, is political.

I've spent years waging my own private little war to get local government to adopt ISO date conventions (i.e., today is 23 December, not December 23).

I've had about as much success as the effort to get Americans to adopt the metric system.

Pope Leo XIV just appointed Fr. Manuel de Jesús Rodríguez — an immigrant from the Dominican Republic who became a U.S. citizen in 2018 — as bishop of Palm Beach.

That’s right: the Catholic diocese that includes Trump’s Mar-a-Lago is now led by an immigrant priest who’s marched against ICE’s abuse.

I took the best decision I could with the information before me. I failed to win so much as a second to open the legal analysis, and so my ability to comment further is constrained.
Supervisor Jon Green @modestholdings.com I could not be more disappointed in you. I know you're a good man, I've seen you in CR at the protective accompaniments. You were with Zamora when he was kidnapped by ICE.
