The upcoming midterms are going to give us a good indication of how far they're willing to go in general. But even in the best case scanario--Democrats ride a blue wave into Congressional power, the 2028 elections are mostly free and fair, and Trump or his replacement get crushed in the election--
imo it's pollyanna-ish to believe that the general political situation--the trump regime writ large--unwinds peacefully. the big political project of opposition should be building the infrastructure and installing leaders who could actually win the inevitable standoff we're careening towards
