Let's try something new.

If you donate to a food bank and tell me how much and which one, I'll match your donation.

If it's less than $50, I'll round up.

Tag me, reply here, or DM if you prefer.

Why food banks? Because if we want to survive a general strike, we need to keep people fed.
Now is a really good time to donate to food banks, and do food runs for mutual aid groups. Also, do menstrual product runs.
I wonder how much food theft spikes with desperate people just trying to feed their families. I'm sure there will be a media panic about it.

another great idea! just search diaper bank + your city to find one.
Please direct people to their local Diaper Bank. They collect unused diapers (kid outgrew newborn size but you still have half a pack left etc) & menstrual hygiene products to redistribute free to those in need. Post menopause, I donated my unopened tampon boxes there. Someone can use them!

if you think your food banks are fine, they aren’t. the demand is overwhelming and the supply is dwindling
Food banks were already struggling to keep with demand. Then, Trump slashed $1 billion from crucial USDA programs supporting them.

Now, thanks to his shutdown, food assistance for millions of Americans is about to try up.

The perfect storm of cruelty.

RFK Jr’s gobbledygook is probably confusing for a lot of people. He talks about kids who have been vaccinated having less brightness in their eyes or having “mitochondrial challenges.” What he ignores is their greater likelihood of survival, as evidenced by any modern cemetery.

Plastic pellets are often mistaken for fish eggs by marine animals, who eat them. Ingesting plastic can be harmful on its own but, as Prof Mudge explains, plastic readily absorbs pollutants, exposing fish who eat them to those chemicals, which may be, in turn, passed to people who eat the fish.
