Another day another story about an athlete with a history of being extremely racist calling for an antisemitism royal commission. Whoever is running this campaign is either trolling or clueless.
January 4, 2026 at 10:58 PM
so I did a 17k hike yesterday and didn't even feel anything today so went for a 50k ride this evening, obviously i need to start pushing myself more or something

So I found out today the best way to de escalate a crazy motorist as a cyclist who is pissed off you swore when they cut you off and then chased you down to cut you off again by slamming on the brakes is to just say "you scared me"

Every motorist should have to ride for a while so they get it.

If you are reporting daily on a campaign for an anti-semtiism RC signed by sports people and you have to add some additional reporting about how some are huge Islamophobes and have even invited actual nazis on their podcast that probably says something about that campaign yeah?

I wonder whether streaming companies realise that a big reason why people stopped pirating stuff is because it was made pretty affordable and not spread out on a million different services. That is no longer the case.

So if "Video killed the radio star" was the first song on MTV. What did they choose for the last?

Choosing a pic of a road with a "sharrow" as a preview image for this article is a fascinating editorial decision.
Teenager, 72-year-old killed in separate crashes on New Year's Eve
The deaths of a teenager riding an e-bike and a 72-year-old motorcyclist hours apart on New Year's Eve have taken Tasmania's road toll to its worst number since 2022.

So many of the songs I listened to when growing up that I can just sing along with were "one hit wonders" and I have no idea what any of the band names are or even the titles of most of them

My bluesky 2025 breakdown, I guess I do go outside and touch grass a bit, fucking, bike and weird being up there in most common words seems about right too
December 31, 2025 at 11:14 PM
As always this article is just a bunch of people crying about the state government reducing a speed limit from 100 to 80. Realistically it makes zero difference except maybe making it a little bit less terrifying to ride a bike on (I probably wouldn't anyway) its really not effecting commute times

Extremely predictable, at least Chris Minns has condemned it though I guess.
‘It’s hateful racism’: Islamophobia spikes since Bondi attack
Ten mosques and Islamic centres have reported vandalism, break-ins or threats since the Bondi terror attack, while Premier Chris Minns says it is “disgusting” Muslims are being targeted.

Personally i don’t want to see lots more cops and security people with guns everywhere but I guess I am not a targeted minority. They make me feel less safe not more safe.

This is horrific and yet its just so normalised in our society that many people don’t even think about it. The Vic gov needs to do much more to protect the vulnerable road users. Getting rid of those huge suvs would be a good start I reckon.
Pedestrian fatalities reach 17-year-high. This trend could be why
Fifty-one pedestrians had been killed on the state’s roads this year as of Saturday – the most in any calendar year since 2008.

I went outside to do some exercise and it freaking happened. What a crazy day of cricket.
Can we have an MCG test with 20 wickets on the first day?
