A HUGE part, and I've noticed this since I was a snot-nosed 20-something telecom beat reporter, is that widespread U.S. corruption is genuinely not a consistent contextual presence in mainstream corporate press narratives
I admired the spirit of @ossoff.bsky.social's line of attack against Donald Trump—that his "is the most corrupt administration of all time, and everybody knows it." The problem is, it's not actually true. Everybody does not know it. We should examine why. www.offmessage.net/p/republican...
Republicans Are Much Much More Corrupt Than Democrats
But most people either do not know this, or refuse to admit it.

The concentration camps will not only be for immigrants, documented or otherwise. They already aren't.

They won't only be for brown and Black people.

The targets will keep expanding. It will not end.

The only way it will is if we stop it. Both in and out of the system. There is no other way.

Imagine what a morally empty monster you’d need to be to do this job.
They raided the jailed children to steal their letters.

The problem, in federal officials' minds, wasn't confining children in prison-camp conditions; it was that the children could tell the public about it.
“I don’t want to be in this place I want to go to my school.”

- 7 year old imprisoned by ICE for 70 days in a concentration camp in Texas.

Today, after @propublica.org published this story, the camp was raided to confiscate letters from the children.

“Ethics waiver.”
The current person in charge of ICE's procurement for detention is a GEO Group executive who ran the company's immigration detention portfolio. He was granted an "ethics waiver" from DHS allowing him to hand out contracts to GEO in his new role.

Nick Fuentes rants about sending all women to “breeding gulags,” but honestly, how far off are we from that already?
NEW: For the second time in 2026, Kentucky state police have charged a woman with homicide after a pregnancy loss.

Both were criminalized after seeking medical care—one for a miscarriage and one for self-managed abortion—and face charges of abuse of a corpse and concealing a birth @autonomynews.co

If we’re going to be doing some white erasure, I have a good
idea where to start.
White House stands by State Department nominee who complains that "white Americans are increasingly second-class citizens," warns of "white erasure" and says "the Jews love to see themselves as oppressed." @camcgrady.bsky.social www.nytimes.com/2026/02/13/u...

ICE needs a military-sized budget because it is at war with the United States.
ICE’s pending $30 billion budget exceeds the military spending of nearly every country, including Canada, Brazil, Mexico, and Iran.

ICE + CBP funding for 2026 would total $66 billion, higher than all but 7 militaries worldwide.
After a string of ICE murders, Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries proposed reforms — and $11 billion more for ICE.

Including reconciliation bill funding, the Schumer-Jeffries plan would give ICE a $30 billion budget, higher than all but 15 militaries worldwide:
