Hey, your Malmö listener reporting: I have made the pilgrimage to the remains of LOVE Park. It's next to the Triangeln station in the city centre.

The body text is written in English and Swedish. The English text reads:
"The development of the Triangeln area in Malmö is one of the most disputed decisions in the history of the city. Original plans included an elevated library and glassed-in bus terminal, but the plans were derailed after protests and political turmoil. The completed project imposed a 27 story hotel, shoppig [sic] centre and garage Rådmansvången area, distanced from the St Johannes church by a large parking-lot.
As skateboarding grew in popularity in Sweden, the Triangeln area became a hub for Malmo's skateboarders. The St Johannos church, Triangeln parking lot and Triangel-square clustered a few decent spots into one part of the city. Crucially for cold winters, an underground garage offered smooth concrete floors and vents blowing warm air from the shopping contre above.
The Triangeln garage provided a social space from which ideas could grow. With the ambition of building an indoor skatepark, Malmo's skateboardors found support to set up an organization and began lobbying the City of Malmö. After years of temporary projects, Bryggoriet Skatepark could open in 1998.
Malmö's identity as a skateboarding city is less a rosult of its architocture, but more of the drive of the skateboarding community and support from the City. Through do-it-yourself projects, events, skateparks and skateboarding high-school, Malmö has developed a reputation as a skate-friendly city. Was chatting with my gf and realised— when completed, the LA Metro A line will be 97.9 km long (just over 60 miles)
For comparison, here are the lengths of some entire metro *systems*:
Boston T (including SL) - 63.9 km
Hamburg U-Bahn - 106 km
Stockholm T - 108 km
Milan Metro - 111.8 km
