One thing that's under discussed by historians is that some of the first modern concentration camps were used here in the U.S. as part of the genocide of the Native Americans. Hitler admired Manifest Destiny (among other evil shit like the British Empire, etc.). He called the Volga "our Mississippi"

Democrats paved the way for Trump. They agree with his foreign policy stances like unconditional support for Israel & unlimited military spending (they just differ on NATO). Domestically, they support militarized cops, ICE, CBP, & are wobbly at best on LGBTQ Rights.

We are living through one of the biggest crackdowns on free speech in academia in history. Liberals are complicit as they castigated anti-genocide protestors and their publications fearmongered about things like wokeness and trigger warnings while the right planed McCarthyism 2.0.
The Provost at Texas Tech University had denied a talented and extremely productive faculty member tenure, despite 90% approval at the department and college levels, because of his outspoken critique of Israel’s genocide in Gaza.

It's sad to see George Takei, who was imprisoned in an American concentration camp, live to see their return. If we do not give everything we have to stop this then we are complicit.
I spent my childhood inside of American concentration camps. I know one when I see one. And that is what ICE is building.
