The Democrats have failed us so many times.

We need something better.

It's Socialism or barbarism.

Just anything to maximize human suffering. Classic fascism.
Trump's administration on Monday told the U.S. Supreme Court that it continues to seek a halt of a judge's order requiring it to fully fund food aid for 42 million low-income Americans this month.

Facts.
I agree. It's hard to be a person.

Glad to hear it, but we aren't out of the woods on this. Thomas made clear he wants Obergefell overturned. They may want a better case. keep in mind they shot down the Muslim Ban before they let it pass.
🏳️‍🌈 Breaking: The U.S. Supreme Court has rejected Kim Davis’s petition to overturn Obergefell v. Hodges, the 2015 ruling that legalized same-sex marriage nationwide. Davis, a former Kentucky clerk who refused to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples, argued her religious rights were violated...

I'm a guy. I have a lot of struggles. They aren't so much "man" things as human things. Loneliness, economic hardship, wondering what your purpose is in society/family. These are things men and women have trouble with. BTW there are plenty of good examples how to be a man, they don't want them.

That's because they are disconnected from & contemptuous of normal people. They live in a bubble, fancy educations, fine food, nice homes, power, privilege, & platform.

They see themselves as elites & will always represent those interests. We should see them the same way. They're all little Cuomos.
seems to me that those democrats inclined not to fight perceive themselves as living through a somewhat ordinary cycle of presidential overreach and backlash and not something much more significant and dangerous

The current German government's failure to crush the AfD while funding a genocide in Gaza recalls the worst parts of that nation's history. Fascism is rising in central Europe once again because the wrong lessons were learned, apathy and corruption took hold, and there is rampant Islamophobia.
For me (a relatively unaffected German at the moment), "a decision should be made much faster!" But our German government is also taking far too long to kick out the AfD, even though this right-wing radical party's hostility to the constitution gives enough reason to do.

It's socialism or barbarism my man. The world is heating, and society is descending into fascism. We have no time for gradual reforms.
I think that's something that would have to be done gradually, but we definitely need to make a start.

American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.

I want an equally apportioned, non-gerrymandered, unicameral legislator without the corrupting influence of big money. I want an elected, (short) term-limited court with a ban on court engineering, and a mandate to protect the civil and human rights of the people not hierarchies and the wealthy.
Would it change your mind to hear that the GOP want to overturn the Amendment that allows the direct election of Senators?

Do you want Mike Johnson to have sole control of the Legislature?
Abolishing the Senate and SCOTUS should be talked about much more.

And the Democrats would never let this type of Democracy happen without a fight.
In a normal democracy, a total collapse of party leadership would result in an no-confidence vote and immediate snap elections to find leaders who can lead

It's not normal to have a "senate" in a democracy. It's explicitly anti-democratic.

This goes for all reporters. Don't look down on anyone. Discrimination against sex workers seems to be one of the last forms of bigotry the left still accepts, and that shouldn't be. All people should be treated with respect.
Axios reporters who think they're above sex workers on the social hierarchy are ridiculous.

Who cares. Why is it wrong? A lot of people who do that work talk about politics. They have good takes. They are workers and a constituency. I don't get why that's such a bad thing. Don't shame people for how they must survive Capitalism, or for people listening to them.

Libs do this BS constantly. Someone has an alright take once and all is forgiven. Just like they forgave the architects of the Iraq War who became anti-Trumpers. Fuck that, as if imperialism wasn't integral to fascism.

incredible that these guys have a massive hard on for a country that, if it were a state, would rank behind kansas in terms of wealth and which would be a total backwater if it weren’t economically integrated with more functional countries

40 men Trump sent to CECOT tell the NYT they were beaten, tortured, and sexually assaulted. The details are worse than you can imagine.

We can’t let them get away with this. Miller and the other architects of this sadism need to go to prison.
