The tech job market in the US is terrible. If it’s not AI, we’re still offshoring as much as possible. Tech is the furniture business. Let machines do as much as possible. Offshore what can’t be automated (yet). We’re not letting young people learn the craft. Quantity over quality infects everything

Anyone who believes that the Senators who voted for the non-deal did so without Schumer’s consent while he votes no for show is gullible & naive. You either do this with a plan and exit strategy or you don’t do it at all. There is a disconnect between Dem voters & Sen leadership.

Please don’t think this beltway game of having retiring Dem senators vote yes while everyone else votes no is going to shield leadership from the end result. We see what is happening and can’t be fooled by those games.

If the GOP will use power punish districts and states who vote for for Dems and then those elected Dems will also vote to help republicans punish blue districts voters then what good reason is there for any voter to ever vote blue I'm any election?
Shouldn't everyone now always vote GOP?

That's mostly Stubbs in this case, though we get a bit from the perspective of his target - a con-man who specialized in ripping off newly flush GIs after the war. I love the tight, sardonic passages Stark uses to show us how scams work.

The fact that a lot of leftists despise Parks and Rec - one of the best and most sympathetic depictions of non-cop government in modern media - is a symptom of the fact that a lot of the left has no idea how to actually implement the policy proposals they want to enact.
The reason 30 Rock succeeds years later while parks and rec has aged like a toilet full of milk, is that 30 Rock doesnt shy away from portraying Liz Lemon as an obvious villian with a victim/hero complex, whereas Leslie Knope was played just a straight hero character, even tho she is a neolib shill

The American voting public's total lack of object permanence is a concerning phenomenon that doesn't get enough attention, especially among pundits who claim that this or that is the core grievance or most important issue for the median voter. The median voter doesn't know who they're voting for!
