A lot of education discourse is at root an inability to decide whether the purpose of our education system is to 1) teach material and measure learning 2) reward students who work hard 3) separate the smart kids (destined for smart guy jobs) from the dumb kids (destined to serve the smart guys)

Whatever else happens with this roster, whatever other flaws of team construction there are, there are two players I absolutely don’t have to worry about because Ant and Jaden have The Stuff.
Legendary Jaden McDaniels game btw. Want to write that down because it won’t jump off the stat sheet. But he shook off three separate injuries and made some huge plays. Tough mfer

I'm going to go out on a limb here: I don't think any console or gaming device ever needs to be more powerful than a PS5. I just really don't see a purpose. I understand we're comparing to cutting-edge PCs here for some reason but framing this as a "problem" is so weird to me.

I'm going to go out on a limb here: I don't think any console or gaming device ever needs to be more powerful than a PS5. I just really don't see a purpose. I understand we're comparing to cutting-edge PCs here for some reason but framing this as a "problem" is so weird to me.
It’s really hard right now to not feel the crushing weight of basically every major institution failing in their most basic, fundamental duties to the public.

As I was saying, the Wolves actually rock and will never lose again.
Now the team has no identity and is caught between the past and future without many paths forward to address flaws, let alone improve the talent level. A lot of this will seem better very soon as Ant regains his legs and carries the team again. But the fundamental roster problems will remain.

NAW had played 195 straight games. Seeing how he was moving walking off the court just now, 196 wasn't happening.
Hawks will be without three starters and two key reserves tonight. Trae Young, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Kristaps Porzingis, Jalen Johnson and Luke Kennard all out.

Realizing today that the same thing has happened to the Rudy Gobert Timberwolves that happened to the Rudy Gobert Utah Jazz: their defense was awesome but their offense clearly wasn't good enough so they slowly chipped away the number of good defenders on the team in order to score more,

the women in the workplace discourse is very funny because a man who can act normal in an office environment that's predominantly female is absolutely on easy street. it's maybe the best gig anyone in history has had. and yet for many guys it is utterly impossible
