Guess what?

I know folks don’t like to make excuses for the schedule but that was a tricky spot on the back to back, losing the hour against a rested team, however bad, at home. Wolves did enough to get the win.

Also, Gobert again big on nights like this

Newsletter comes out tomorrow! Send me your mailbag questions, try to make them evergreen and not dependent on tonight's game.

Also, I don't know when Beringer is gonna get rotation minutes nor who they're gonna trade at the deadline. Now that those are cleared up, fire away!

Quite possibly, the greatest instagram reel ever made. Down with the Denver airport www.instagram.com/reel/DQ1z7WK...

Truly wild the difference in person and on tv. In person it was not this bright

Jaden McDaniels wants #TheCup: "When I see the court, I’m like, it’s just time to win the money. We ain’t been to Vegas one time. At least come in 1st, 2nd or 3rd we get a little bit of money. So, whichever one we come in, I’m cool – we get a little wire transfer."

Chris Finch would often reference how Jarred Vanderbilt in Finch's first year here used garbage time to propel himself to rotation minutes. Can't think of a better shift for Beringer to make his case than this one.
Here comes Joan Beringer

Julius Randle gets his 10th rebound, then a Jazz player hit it off his knee out of bounds. Triple double still counts! Only time ever the crowd cheered on a Wolves loss of possession.

Anthony Edwards got up grabbing his left hand/wrist as he gets to the free-throw line here.

BREAKING!!!
Hero shirt tote for 23-26 season kicked off tonight and Mike Conley grabs the early lead with 1st shirt pick of his career.
He leads 3-time champ and rest of team 1-0.
Just a huge upset. Tote people with mouths agape.
November 8, 2025 at 2:39 AM
Randle ends the half with 15 points, 10 assists, 9 rebounds. Wolves lead 79-45. Edwards with 29. McDaniels with 13.
November 8, 2025 at 2:11 AM
Julius Randle is 2 rebounds and 1 assist away from a triple double by halftime.

Naz Reid is in some pain, grabbing at his tailbone/lower back, but staying in the game

Might be good for the Wolves this is an NBA Cup game and margin of victory kind of matters. Any excuse to keep this team motivated is a good one.

DiVincenzo might've gotten smacked in the nose again.
November 8, 2025 at 1:27 AM
An incensed Will Hardy gets a T after that last Gobert offensive rebound and dunk around Nurkic. Wolves lead 26-6.

I will say looking up at the scoreboard and seeing images of it on a screen ... I can see why people dislike it. In person it's not bad.
Came here specifically for your take on the court and I didn’t expect it to be this. I probably need a better TV.

After deferring early against the Knicks, Anthony Edwards has 8 of 10 points to open the night for the Wolves.
November 8, 2025 at 1:13 AM
Don't tell anybody but I kind of like the court.

Anthony Edwards guarded Jalen Brunson last night. On the Wolves needing him to take more matchups like that if they’re gonna eventually get back to being a proper defense: www.startribune.com/anthony-edwa...
Anthony Edwards, in return from hamstring injury, sacrifices offense to play tough defense
The Timberwolves guard took on Jalen Brunson and limited the Knicks star, but he deferred too much on the other end.

Julius Randle on the defense: "All of us being on one page with everything, whether it's in the gaps, whether it's the rebounding the communication, like we're really quiet on that end right now too. So I think we all just got to get on the same page."

Some postgame of Karl-Anthony Towns in which he says he still feels “stunned” about the trade more than a year later.
