Watch out folks, I don’t wanna alarm anyone, but good news is possible!!
This a big deal: "China’s carbon dioxide emissions have been flat or falling for 18 months"

China's economy has grown by ~5% in the last year, so this comprehensively debunks the idea (again) that emissions are tied to growth. So yes, faster progress needed, but this is how you turn the corner.

Just published! We share an open-source workflow to measure membrane thickness from tomograms, including a tutorial with 3D visualizations. We analyze thickness variations across organelles and reflect on where to define a membrane boundary. @becklab.bsky.social #teamtomo rupress.org/jcb/article/...

🧪Hey Sciencers,

We're looking to make a library of 50-100 plasmids that differ in ~60bp stretch. The differences will be designed (not random). The library will then be screened for a phenotype.

What is the best way to do this?

Cost is an issue.
