My colleague, Representative-elect Adelita Grijalva STILL has yet to be sworn in. She’s the 218th signature on the Epstein petition. Instead of swearing her in, Johnson once again claims politics, which leaves us wondering—what is he hiding?

4. Earlier this year, Johnson swore in two GOP special election winners while the House was out of session. Johnson held a pro forma session for the swearing-in ceremony within 24 hours.

Since Grijalva’s election, the House has held 13 pro forma sessions, but Johnson would not swear her in.

The idea that Hegseth and Rubio will lead any war-fighting and diplomacy in Venezuela should stop you dead in your tracks. Clown time is over: no country should go to war so that the leader’s inner circle can make Tiktoks
🧵New piece from me @goodauth.bsky.social on risks of striking Venezuela, focused on the added risk from Trump team of loyalists. Hint: it has to do with centralized role of Rubio, the nation's top diplomat, and the incompetence of advisers like SecDef Hegseth. 1/

Congress, get your cheeks back in seats and do your job. You are public servants and are failing the nation.
The amount is meaningless — less than one day of salary. But the principle is important: once the armed services are paid by the oligarchs, they become a private militia, and we no longer have a country.

Federal government is broken. Deliberately broken. Arrogantly broken. Lack of courage and moral character broken. Mike Johnson- we see you breaking it and then telling us we aren’t seeing what is right before our eyes.
In the midst of a government shutdown, and in the face of fundamental challenges to the rule of law and to democratic accountability, the House of Representatives--the people's house, the heart of our democratic republic--hasn't cast a vote since Sep. 19. An extraordinary failure of responsibility.
