US military support for diversity isn’t a new woke thing that people recently made up. My 1989 departure gift from the 193d Support Battalion is our unit crest with the words “Strength In Diversity” prominently displayed. Diversity is a weight bearing pillar of the military, not a decorative add-on

Today I’m reminded of how often I seek out our flag. If there’s a thing that you’ve got to take out of my cold, dead hands it will be the American flag. It belongs to us all. Don’t give it away or let it represent a “side.” It represents an ideal, don’t let anyone take that ideal from you.
