Like every other comic artist I know, I rely on ACA benefits to afford healthcare. Despite the healthcare I have now still not being enough (I haven't been able to afford a spine surgery I need to return to my usual standard of living) I will be extremely screwed if I have no insurance at all.
The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.
The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.
People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.
And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

This fall has been an extra slow one for small businesses out here, and the tea house is $3.7k shy of where we need to be to make rent before late fees hit this month.
