He will tell anyone who will listen what he thinks is at the root of the deterioration of American democracy: a conservative media ecosystem that traffics in disinformation and feeds the “cult” that is MAGA. “I realized Fox News is completely full of shit, and that you can put on the record." 👏
I love him. “The first time I caught up to [ICE], I could tell that they already knew who I was. They had seen me before, so they thought they were just going to speed away. I was like, ‘Ha ha, bitches, I got a new scooter!’”

For the first time in my career, I can’t tell people to trust what the CDC website says. And that is an incredibly sad and devastating place for this country to be.
CDC has overhauled its website to assert that “the claim ‘vaccines do not cause autism’ is not an evidence-based claim”

This was an interesting one to work on and not just because we got to print the word "enshittification" a bunch of times

Will never get over that Zucal's slogan was “Let’s bring Allentown back to the all-American city together.” It's MAGA but verbose
Excellent local news! “Allentown Mayor Matt Tuerk declared victory over City Council member Ed Zucal Tuesday evening, securing a second term at the helm of Pennsylvania’s third largest city.
With all city-wide precincts reporting at least partial results, Tuerk had captured 72% of the vote”

Great thread. Did not occur to me that this would be the case but I see now why it might be. Good news either way — keep the current maps or redraw them to (hopeful) GOP peril
really important element of this basically total victory is that it puts the fear of god in republican incumbents and may bring the redistricting push to a total halt

Teen Vogue has become a top-tier political journalism authority and doing this the day before election day is just cruel.
I was laid off from Teen Vogue today along with multiple other staffers, and today is my last day.

certainly more to come from me when the dust has settled more, but to my knowledge, after today, there will be no politics staffers at Teen Vogue.
