My unpopular opinion is that it's bad form to say you want to shoot a specific real person just to watch them die, even if you are making a Johnny Cash reference.
all I’m gonna say is that I am a life-long slightly edgy poster and I’ve never caught a suspension or a ban anywhere - because it is in fact quite easy to avoid crossing the “this joke could possibly be construed as a violent threat” line on social media

Any recommendations for a replacement for the PS5 controller that is not made by Sony, since they demonstrated that they don't know how to produce a usable controller? The stick drift is unforgivable.

This is Non and Asa. We do not know which one went into turbo mode first. But we do know it is highly contagious. 14/10 for both (IG: asa.n.kuroshiba)

Fun fact: The Iliad and the Odyssey actually take place on the Great Lakes. Also, it took Odysseus so long to get home because they didn't have cars back then.

Anyhow if anyone out there just genuinely liked Columbus Day because it was basically Italian Pride day, you'll be happy to know the Italians get an entire heritage month, except in the DOD.

Worth noting, I only memorized a handful of phone numbers. If a phone number was important and it wasn't listed on a directory, I just wrote it down, which is still mostly the case when I use the desk phones at work.
If anyone needs me I will be in the museum, lying down next to the bog bodies.

Folks who enjoy to consume their stories in comic book form (including manga) or audio book form are no less well read than those who read “real books”.

Visual literacy is a thing. Auditory comprehension is a thing. We shouldn’t shame anyone for how they choose to engage with literature.

When the only Italian heritage anyone in the US wants to talk about is a shitty navigator who introduced slavery to the Americas and who was later arrested by the Spanish for being a shitty Colonial administrator too.

What's a fun and annoying history fact you've learned recently? I'll start:

Modern-day Marathons are not based on the distance from Marathon to Athens, despite the popular wisdom. (1/2)

And while we're dragging the posthumous reputation of one Christopher Columbus, I'd like to recognize the history of how that holiday came to be in the US, recognizing the important of Italian contributions in a time when many Italians and Italian-Americans faced discrimination in the US. (1/2)

It's time again as a notable Italian-American to note Christopher Columbus was an absolute piece of shit human who didn't land anywhere near this actual country so why the fuck should he stop the mail for the whole day

Anyway, Happy Indigenous People's Day, y'all

If you ever feel really dumb, just remember that Christopher Columbus coined the term "Indians" to refer to the Lucayans, the indigenous people he met in Guanahani, despite this being nowhere near Indiana. Truly one of the worst navigators of all time.

I don't understand why folks are complaining about #StarTrekStarfleetAcademy supposedly promoting "DEI."

Is it because of the Klingon? You know this isn't the first time they've had a Klingon on the crew in a #StarTrek, right?
