I wrote a cantata, The lilies of the field, which is an Australian take on the Easter story with words by @katherinefirth.bsky.social. I’m pretty proud of it and hope that you enjoy it!

Elon Musk publicly slandering that cave diver as a "pedo guy" after he begged Jeffrey Epstein for island party invites is just incredible

I would be very surprised if a full accounting in the future didn't reveal more than one mass grave at the detention centers. If they're behaving this way in public, what's happening out of sight must be many times more brutal.
Imagine what’s happening in the camps.
Imagine how much they’d be lying about what happened without all the videos showing it from multiple angles.

It looks like this person’s only crime was having some fun, and the bastards assaulted them for it. Fascists don’t have an ounce of joy or whimsy in their souls, and they haaaate that we do. They’re nothing but bullying cowards that don’t deserve love or joy for the rest of their miserable lives.

people are withdrawing from Adelaide writers week faster than can be reported. In addition to the names listed here are Ren Wyld, Emma Shortis, and Fiona Katsaukas. Important detail: the only creative, Stephen Page, has left the Adelaide Festival board.

Hey @albomp.bsky.social , are we “all the way with DJT”? Because I think we Australians are going to need a little reassurance from you that this is NOT your idea of a safe alliance either, and that being blu-tacked to a lunatic will not end well for us.
Thanks for your consideration.

I’m pretty good at fixing poorly recorded audio, but this looks like an unpolishable turd.
We have an AI soundtracked ad for a gym chain here in Belgium, and it sound astonishingly poor. Like, not technically fit for broadcast levels of poor. And no-one can fix it because it’s an impression of an advert, not a master mixed set of individual tracks…

What has Yvette Cooper’s proscription of Palestine Action done to this country?

Beyond absurd. It’s extreme authoritarianism. These police should be arresting rapists & crooks, not neglecting those duties to spend time arresting citizens standing against genocide.

It undermines police and the law.
