I know this is a long-shot but do any of my bike peeps have any experience with the 45NRTH LatKat tires? I need some new non-studded winter tires and trying to decide between those and the Continental Top Contact Winters. Looking for something that handles pavement, hardpack, and some ice patches.

The extra fun thing about idling your car in winter is that not only is it really bad for the engine, but it doesn't even warm your car. The best thing to do is start the engine, wait 15-20 seconds, then start driving so it gets to operating temp.
There is something so deeply, deeply Minnesotan about these sorts of posts (which I see every winter). If you're from almost anywhere else and wondering if you're missing something: this person did in fact leave their car running, unlocked, keys in the ignition.
