I’m on the scene at Franklin and 1st. A convoy of about a couple dozen ICE/HSI agents broke the entryway into an apartment building at 6am. No warrant presented. Less than 24 hours ago, Tom Homan announced the end of large convoys in Minnesota… Bullshit.

Imagine if four years into our war in Iraq we had only occupied 20 percent of it and lost 1.2 million men. Would anyone say the US is winning?

No? Then how in the hell can you say Russia is winning?!

as i keep saying, the things to do to secure elections are to volunteer to work the polls or to serve as an observer, & to pressure your *state representatives* to take steps to further secure voting locations and ballots. you should also learn about how election administration works in your area.

I will say - and yes, to be blunt this one of the few things in life I really feel I can get on my high horse about! - that I've cut a *lot* of men out of my life over the years after hearing stories about their misbehaviour, and watched every single time as those men just kept most of their friends
A lot of people are rightfully outraged that famous, important people continued to hang out with Jeff Epstein after he was convicted of serious sex crimes. I would posit, though, that 'maintaining social and business relationships with sex criminals' is extremely common behavior, regardless of class

7. “All By Myself”, Babes in Toyland

This track is a cover that replaces the usual smooth orchestrals and soulful singing with absolute dissonance and collapse, which feels more suited to a song about desperate loneliness

It’s how Dale feels in her dark apartment, huddled in trash and clutter

Well this is a big fuckin’ deal. I am so tired of the FDA-driven approach of pretending pain isn’t real and that relief from it is not a beneficial treatment.
CT-guided oxygen-ozone injection offers superior long-term pain relief and functional recovery for lumbar disc herniation with spinal stenosis compared to epidural steroids. doi.org/10.4103/mgr.... #OzoneTherapy #MinimallyInvasive #SpinalHealth #PainRelief #MedicalResearch #MedSky #neuroskyence

Jeff Bezos’s wealth has increased an average of $70 million every day of 2026, meaning that he could have offset The Post’s losses with what he’s made since Monday.

As a person who has lived under the poverty line since 2002, I can tell you that the few times I didn’t (after an accident settlement for example), I was very happy. Living without chronic worry of basic necessities is a relief and happiness I cherish. This guy being miserable is his own damn fault.

Heads are going to explode 💥

Cato Institute just nuked the lie. Immigrants have cut U.S. deficits by $14.5 TRILLION since 1994, slashing the national debt by a third.

All that “immigrants are bleeding us dry” noise? Absolute bullshit.

I think one thing people outside Minnesota don't understand is that after Good and Pretti were killed by feds while observing, the most normal people you could imagine have made peace with the fact that they could be next, and they are still out there because they say it's the right thing to do.
“If I am killed doing this, throw my body at the White House, martyr the shit out of me & raise hell. Do not be sad. Do not think I would do anything differently. I would do it over & over again — this is too important to sit down & shut up and not do anything.” www.mprnews.org/story/2026/0...

Any xgooglers out there?
whoever figures out a way to bundle independent journalism subscriptions will be a hero
i know that this is an unpopular take, but everyone starting their own newsletter as a revenue stream is not a sustainable model for writing and reporting or for people who love and want to pay for media.

Our founders, though deeply flawed, understood that democracy requires an informed citizenry and a government accountable to it people. That’s why the press is the only profession protected by the Constitution. It’s also why autocrats and oligarchs seek to control and destroy it.

My campaign ad in 2028: you will go months without thinking about politics. Your government will function. You will be able to worry about what color the dress is or if the boy in the balloon is okay, not whether you’ll wake up to a tweet about invading Vanuatu because I saw a tik tok.

If Jeff Bezos could afford to spend $75 million on the Melania movie & $500 million for a yacht to sail off to his $55 million wedding to give his wife a $5 million ring, please don't tell me he needed to fire one-third of the Washington Post staff.

Democracy dies in oligarchy.
