i saw this article bemoaning that a playable demo for some game or other didn't come out as part of some con or expo or something.

I'm not especially opposed to driverless cabs, but I'm fucked if I'm giving up my ancestral British right to cross the road anywhere if it's safe for me to do so. "Jaywalking" isn't a thing or a crime here, techbros, so your magic cars will have to learn to deal with that.

Anyway, I think the positioning of "never play a TRPG rules-as-written and if you do there's something wrong with you" is, whether the people who advocate for it intend it to be or not, feels less like empowerment and more kind of weirdly hostile to the idea of approaching a game on its terms first

This is actually good news for the playstation 5, it gives more time to add a 5th game to the console.
Acc to a Bloomberg reporting, Sony is considering to push back the PlayStation 6 to 2028/2029. Nintendo is also considering a Nintendo Switch 2 price increase in 2026.
