God bless the beautiful and brilliant Miss Sally Kirkland.
Such a beloved friend and confidant; she came to so many of our live shows in LA; even to my kid’s 3rd birthday party. And oh the stories she had.

Thank you, Sally, for making life and art more beautiful.

Ennio Morricone's theme for A Fistful of Dollars was based on the arrangement he had recently done of Woody Guthrie's Pastures of Plenty for American folk singer Peter Tevis. Listen to Guthrie's original 👇

I'll post Tevis' cover & the film's title theme in the thread

Gothic noir "Ladies in Retirement" ends with Ellen (#IdaLupino) walking into endless fog . . . actually into a stage + painted backdrop, which they sell by building a circuitous path between prop trees for Ellen to walk, and holding out til the last second for THE END

Ellis is on the bench.
Good morning from Chicago's Dirksen Federal Courthouse.

We're waiting for District Judge Sara Ellis to take the bench in the federal class action urging an injunction against federal immigration agents' violent behavior in Chicagoland.

Ellis will issue an oral ruling on the injuction this morning.

ICE out at the Home Depot in my neighborhood, conveniently on a day it might benefit certain people if there was a population scared and staying indoors today.

Really good concert film from Ed Lachman. Ad a bonus, these takes are all different from the live album.

Nordic noir movies and shows are great for watching chase scenes with station wagons.
No one has the guts to film a car chase with cars that are actually on the road. Let me see an '06 Subaru Outback battling it out with the cheapest new Mitsubishi on the market
