The mental fitness of elderly Presidents has been such an important issue for the media lately, so I expect wall-to-wall coverage of how President Trump has once again thrown a fit about one of his own signature policies, showing no awareness of how it arose or who executed it.

The media sane-washing for Mango is unhinged and a big reason why we are in this mess.
When there was positive economic data under Biden, the New York Times told us to worry, with headlines like:
“Why a Strong U.S. Economy Is Making Stock Investors Jittery”
and
“Inflation Has Been Easing Fast, but Wild Cards Lie Ahead”
But when there is worrisome data under Trump, NYT reassures us:

The problem with "Trump said" framing in a nutshell. Lede reports what Trump said. Second paragraph opens with Trump's bogus claims about fraud in the 2020 election. Second sentence weakly notes Trump's AG Bill Barr said Trump's completely fabricated claims "couldn't be proven."
