Márquez at his best was a breaking ball artist and master supinator who had the supination coached out of him. (Right before he started getting hurt.)
His velo is a little down. I still think he's a gem as a reclamation project, but the upside is no longer an elite #2 like it was 3 years ago.

All I'll say regarding the ending is that if the Rockies blew a chance to tie or outright walk off the World Series and avoid a Game 7 in that fashion I'd probably commit seppuku

There are times when Kirby pitches almost like he's trying to prove a point rather than getting batters out. He also always empties the tank early during important starts and clearly loses steam by the 4th-5th inning.

Not really sure why Kirby is still out there given that the Blue Jays seem to have him figured out at this point.

He's aggressively okay imo. His best calls happen when he's taken by surprise and during the mundane. A better partner would really help him tho

We all love George Kirby but we gotta stop lying about the level of pitcher he is at the moment. (Not that he's anything less than very good and/or can't improve.)
In other words, no, he probably shouldn't face the order three times in the playoffs unless the circumstances are favorable.

a corollary to the third time through the order stuff is that when you have an actual true Ace of Aces like Skubal, his reduced effectiveness due to familiarity and fatigue is still going to be better than anyone in your own
