I ride my bike on the street where I witness terrorist drivers

I'm surrounded by cycle paths

Currently fascinated by the fourth transformation of the public life of Mexico

they/them
If we do not exterminate drivers, they will continue to threaten, injure, & kill the rest of us and each other

Dangerous and illegal activity widely permitted under driver-first policies

Drivers are a problem to be solved, and the solution is readily apparent.

Extermination

I'm ICE, boys. I love crashing cars, getting divorced, crashing cars, bargain bin jeans, texting while driving, crashing cars, OLD GLORY, and let's not forget my one true passion in life—crashing cars

What I do know is that the state moved much more quickly to implement an emergency repair here than they did to make changes after multiple people were killed while walking on State Route 7 in Pierce County.

Hot take: Fremont Bridge should be closed to cars and open only for bikes and pedestrians. For cars it's mostly redundant with Aurora Bridge and we're never going to build a new bridge (with the required ability to open, especially) for non-cars. As a historic bridge it'll last a lot longer, too.

Do you think it’s immoral to drive a truck? Yeah, that’s obviously immoral, why are you asking?

Further Seattle commentary: the only way to end car dependency is to make driving so miserable that walking/biking/PT are more pleasant options regardless of weather and distance. Seattle rivals only SF and NYC on this metric.

this is about as useful as those signs that read 'please don't drink and drive' - as if politely asking drivers ever accomplished anything, safety-wise

ICE’s Detention Center outside Chicago was sued on October 30 for allegedly abusing detainees. One day later, a "system crash" lost all video footage that could have shown how detainees were being treated. trib.al/QwT3aqI

but that last part did happen. imo it is particularly important to emphasize that the oil majors + big three did, in fact, directly reshape much of public transit in major cities and this included the literal dismemberment of public transit systems.

was it the only thing? no

did it happen? yes
Because a lot of leftists/progressives have pseudo conspiratorial models of reality where they think the only reason Americans live in suburbs is bc GM tore up the streetcar lines in LA etc.

i forgot to mention that last bit of the ride after the train where it was black as pitch out where the rain really picked up. it was SO SCARY because cars are EVIL but it was otherwise really fun because i got so fucking soaked. the rain was heavy and mean and windy but it was fun i loved it.
having not biked in the rain in ages my entire ride home was giggling with glee as my legs and socks got soaked because i neglected to bring rain pants. my hands are drenched too because i didn't seal them properly. couldn't be happier! car commuters could never.
