In our broken stupid world it’s cool when legacy publications recognize really awesome things that people like Jael are doing to make the world more awesome
can’t believe pitchfork said the little trans rights music fest i started was one of the coolest events to happen this year.

let it be said that from attendance to sponsors, liberation weekend wouldn’t have been a success without bluesky.

this website has the juice.

i love you all.

I want to start a news show called “they have solved most of our problems in other counties, repeatedly” and it just shows how countries all over have very easily reduced homelessness, increased green energy, built more housing, built transit etc
CNN has a show with a similar line. That the problem with this country is we just aren’t talking to each other.

It’s the kind of diagnosis that a toddler would land on.

One of the biggest moments of my career:
USCIS canceled my client’s naturalization oath ceremony. We filed a lawsuit, went to trial, and the judge swore him in right there in the courtroom!

We’re learning that a loooot of institutions only function if the rules of decorum are not abused by a cadre of bad actors

It’s a little thing but imagine buying a $2 or $3m house and not being able to even walk your dog around the block because it’s impossible to walk on your street
there's a couple of what Nolan's talking about here - new sprawl-oriented neighborhoods but with a walkable-ish retail town center - in North County San Diego: Bressi Ranch and San Elijo Hills. And the result is they are two of the most expensive and desirable neighborhoods in the US

Just good advice in every situation
Perhaps more importantly… and a lesson we should all take from this

Don’t help white people make poor decisions

This seems crazy, I refuse to believe that 5% are succeeding
MIT’s NANDA initiative found that 95% of generative AI deployments fail after interviewing 150 execs, surveying 350 workers, and analyzing 300 projects. The real “productivity gains” seem to come from layoffs and squeezing more work from fewer people not AI.
MIT report: 95% of generative AI pilots at companies are failing
There’s a stark difference in success rates between companies that purchase AI tools from vendors and those that build them internally.

Oh so you’re good with firing journalists when they’re having an affair with RFK Jr, huh???
"Firing racists is a capitalist assault upon the working class" is the kind of galaxy brain take that makes me want asteroids to cleanse the planet.
