Pinned
I finally wrote an intro post to pin. I can't ever be brief so made it an image (transcribed in alt). I was going to apologize for being long-winded but you know what, if you're following me, this kind of overly... everything posting is exactly what you should expect :P Interests and things I post:

Magenta is the most cosmic color because there is no wavelength of light that corresponds to that particular color. Our brains just sort of fill in the gaps to make sense of it.

Which is why, H.P. Lovecraft's "The Colour Out of Space" is pink/magenta.
Man, everything is so bleak, anyone got a fun fact or little bit of trivia they want to share

As an archaeologist, it's a bit hard to recommend a game in which you smash pots AND I'm about 4 years late with this, but omg Eye of the Temple VR is SO FUN. Movement is always tricky in VR games, because you're restricted by your real space. Movement in this game is SO CLEVER. So immersive.
Eye of the Temple on Steam
Embark on a VR adventure to explore a vast and treacherous temple and uncover the ancient legend of the Eye. Keep your balance as you step between moving blocks, dodging hazardous traps and solving en...

The fact that that lady gets paid big money to write godawful drivel while I haven't made enough to live in years, doing stuff I'm semi competent at, makes me want to walk into the sea.

(Sorry if that's cryptic, but if you have not seen the drivel, you are blessed and I wish you to remain so)

elizabeth's gown being inspired by overlayed x-rays is such an insane detail to me

I got several during this event, from the comfort of my home (in the US), so this was less of a tragedy than originally thought :P
I was in a town full of Klefki today, but my phone network went down, so I remain Klefki-less . Tragique.(This is a Pokemon Go post)

Me, one week after X: "Fuck."

I played Beat Saber and of course now I'm too overheated to go to bed.
After about two years of saying I was going to set up my VR again, I set up my VR again, so that is nice.

I paint the land from the Anishinaabe perspective that we are all one.
I camp on the land and listen to what She tells me. Then I come back to the studio and paint her stories.

Each painting becomes an object infused with nature’s messages.

This happens somewhat regularly: I wake with a start from some intense dream and for a few seconds, my mind is desperately searching for something real amid the confusion of waking and whatever fear/panic from the dream. Worst one yet last night. No idea where/who I was for looooong seconds.

Reminds me of the time, 20+ years ago, @mpatterson42.bsky.social sent me some plates in the mail and I received instead, in the box with his handwriting on it, a sweater with a tag that said "Aunt Lydia". This was inside the US, so customs wasn't even involved.
So I sent a friend in France a box of American candy via USPS First Class Mail, and after it lingered in French Customs for two weeks & they charged an extra 22 euro, the package finally arrived, with an extra item I didn't send. WTF? Are they just throwing stuff from one package into another?

IT'S '6-7', COOPER. A GENERATION ALPHA TREND. WHAT THEY CALL A 'MAY-MAY'. IT'S AN ORPHANED SIGNIFIER, NO SIGNS ATTACHED. ONE COULD CALL IT DADAIST, BUT SOMME SAY IT'S TOO STUPID TO BE DADA. IT'S ANTI-MEANING, ANTI-HUMOUR, BUT DAMN IF THOSE KIDS DON'T FIND IT A CRACK-UP.

Paul Verhoeven's Total Recall shouldn't really work, but this weird, campy, violent adaptation of a very short Philip K. Dick story is SO MUCH FUN. Let's talk Schwarzenegger, special effects, and Mars!
