i like to believe the creature is currently thriving in a cottage he built himself with an old irish wolfhound and a blind cat to keep him company... he's taken up photography as a hobby and his ideal weekends are checking out new books from the local library 🥹

i literally had no idea of this game's existence until a few weeks ago but "the wanderer: frankenstein's creature" is such a lovely alternative take on the creature's story that also managed to devastate me. absolutely recommended if you're just coming from the movie or book

When I tossed out the old container of paints used to do the cover painting for WORDS OF RADIANCE, it landed upside down in my wastebasket on a piece of paperboard I had been using as a palette for something else. 1/2

still thinking about how victor said "some of it is fact. some of it is not. but it is all true" so perhaps he might have... *embellished* some details of his tale especially when it came to him and elizabeth

i don’t want to compare them bc i think they’re both very different BUT something i do find interesting is how nosferatu depicts the grotesque as abhorrent yet undeniable (which makes it so disturbing) while in frankenstein the grostesque is beautiful and asks for admiration

i'm gonna pick this movie down to the bone eventually but considering the time period, this line made me assume that the frankenstein family in this adaptation either owned or were benefactors for slave plantations and i think that adds a whole other messy layer to victor as a person
