A lot of people cannot just start a paid newsletter or become freelancers to sustain their careers. The sports, metro, and international desks did work that requires *team* resources, like legal checks, documents, access to archives, and long-term beat experience.

I questioned on how good these LLMs were at producing good code when I saw how bad they were at producing *marketing copy*
The absolute garbage pouring out of some people’s mouths & codebases has driven home to me how big the chasm is between competent programmers & ones who think they are.
And, horribly, the competent ones don’t think their code is that great while fully incompetent ones think “their” code is amazing.
