This is on the extreme low end of what I’m hearing from other folks. It appears my decision to go with the regional provider paid off.
Just took a glance at my current marketplace healthcare plan. Monthly going up by $90—and I wasn’t even subsidized. Yikes.

Freelancers are gonna get hit.

OSCAR ISAAC, on whether he'd return to "Star Wars":

".. Yeah. I mean, I’d be open to it, although right now I’m not so open to working with Disney. But if they can kinda figure it out and, you know, not succumb to fascism, that would be great."

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

I don’t know if I’m ever going to get over Trump saying “big play coming up” on 2nd and 7.
Government is shut down. Chaos in airports. 42 million going hungry. 24 million face skyrocketing healthcare costs. Economy in turmoil. And the president of the United States is in the Fox broadcast booth calling plays for a football game.

This story about “Take On Me” is the most poignant story you’ll read about a pop song today.

‘Take On Me’ has been stuck in our heads for 40 years. Here’s how it got there.
“Take On Me,” the 1980s synth-pop hit song from the band A-ha, marks 40 years of global ubiquity even while personal disputes have chilled the Norwegian trio.

Tonight I have a refreshed @tedium.co piece on the art of stage banter—who does it well, who stinks at it, and at what point it starts to lose its objective qualities.

My good example is Barenaked Ladies. My bad examples? Elvis and The Gaslight Anthem.
