maybe this time he'll actually use Katie Wilson's name. We might even get a "Mayor-Elect" in front of it, but that would be a stretch when he insisted on calling her "my opponent" at every debate.
Just In: The Seattle Mayor’s Office has sent a notice for a special public address by Mayor Bruce Harrell tomorrow at noon.

Frankly, you love to see it

VERY funny that Andrea Suarez thinks the reason Bruce Harrell didn't win is because he didn't give her and her jackboots the key to the city lmaooooooo

I’ve said this many times but it’s worth repeating:

When it comes to voting, we have an Election Day deadline.

When it comes to election results, we have an Election Week.

The more media sets this expectation, the less confusion and more trust we’ll have in our great vote by mail system. #waelex

Um, that doesn’t happen when a race is still technically going on, does it?
Well, I just got a bounceback email from Harrell's campaign spokesperson saying she's not with the campaign anymore. This race could very well go on until late December!

Wilson getting 61% of the drop at this point means it is all over save whether the margin is under 2,000 votes (the number for a machine recount)
Actually, based on rough estimates of the number of ballots left, this might fall outside the mandatory recount threshold.

There has been some chatter about recounts. And there probably will be a mandatory machine recount. But tabulation errors are random and rare, and mostly involve determinations of whether a ballot is an undervote or a write-in. They almost never change outcomes.
