Yeah, the only reason we're hearing about this person is because they (might) be trans. The press is just bringing this up to try to tie trans people to something we had nothing to do with.
Have you *ever*, in all the thousands of shootings in America, heard a word about a friend, roommate or partner of a shooter?

Yarvin isn't wrong to recognize there's a relationship between altruistic politics and coolness.

What he misses is that this is a predatory situation. Earnest altruists build things of value and this draws social influence from which social cachet can be extracted.

As I think about the political pressure for trans people to detransition or avoid transition, something really stands out to me, though it’s hard to fully explain.

Presenting and living as a woman was genuinely much easier for me than trying to be masculine or blend in effectively as a man.

one of the strangest dynamics these days is the insistence that everyone pretend they were born yesterday when evaluating the seriousness or sincerity of a public figure. i think that by his own past actions and rhetoric i can safely assume that peter thiel is not on the level!

The FBI uses a lot of shitty people as cooperators and informants but Trump is a great example of someone they wouldn’t use — a pathologically narcissistic braggart who could never keep a secret or maintain focus. It would be like asking the Trix rabbit to wear a wire.

can you imagine being briefed in to the special projects at Weiland-Yutani and being told, "we are reconstructing the ancient biological weapon responsible (we think) for annihilating a precursor race. no, this is not a cult thing. we anticipate that this will raise quarterly profits by 9%."
can you imagine being some non-CEO higher-up at weyland-yutani knowing that the other guys are working on perfectly sensible methods of life extension and your company is working on merging humans with macroscopic tardigrades

The media's basic assumption that crimes only count if they happen in secret has been Trump's saving grace throughout his two terms.

He keeps blabbing about them -- here, he's posting a video of a targeted assassination of civilians -- but because he's so brazen they assume it's no big deal.
Here's the video Trump just posted to Truth Social, with the claim that 11 people aboard the boat were killed.

There is zero evidence of self-defense here. Looks like a massacre of civilians at sea.

Even if they had drugs aboard, that's not a capital offense.
