One of the many reasons I welcome Ken Burns's new documentary on the American Revolution. Presented by anyone else, George Will would describe this as "woke" history, but in the hands of Ken Burns it somehow finds a place in the overall narrative. www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/202...

She once said to me: "The problem with your country is that you have no sense of collective shame."
High school teacher Katharina Matro explains how growing up in Germany and learning about the country’s past “made me a more informed citizen, a more politically aware citizen, a more critical thinker.” #FreedomToLearn #HonestHistory 🗃️

Pope Leo stated, “The mission of the Church is to preach the Gospel.” That also means to adhere to the Gospel & the teachings of Jesus Christ! MAGA needs to get a grip: The Pope is the successor of St Peter & the Vicar of Christ. When the Pope speaks, he speaks as Christ’s representative on EARTH!

The U.S. bishops defended migrant families. Tom Homan snapped. Nan Hayworth called Pope Leo a “tool of our enemies.” Tim Burchett accused the church of getting rich off of sex trafficking.

Matt Walsh, Lara Logan, and the rest joined in. This is what MAGA anti-Catholicism looks like.
“Pope Leo Is a Tool of Our Enemies”: Homan Leads MAGA Attacks as Hayworth, Others Pile On
It’s the latest MAGA attack on Pope Leo’s pro-immigrant stance. Disgraced border chief Tom Homan — caught taking a $50,000 bribe in a Cava takeout bag — led the charge against Leo and the bishops.

The amount of connections to scientists working in the field of genomics that I'm finding in the Epstein emails is terrifying, disgusting, and sadly unsurprising

We need to deeply investigate how much these scientists actually knew, or how much they were involved

There need to be consequences

This is so so disturbing. Trump is now pardoning January 6th rioters for unrelated crimes, just to reward them for their violence to keep him in power.

The Republican Party is in the full time business of endorsing and incentivizing political violence. So scary.

But I think it’s also part of how extremism ramps up.

Because neither is there room for nuance, citation, qualifiers, any softening or mitigation.
