🚨BREAKING NEWS

The Isle of Man has passed its assisted dying law - the first part of these islands to do so. It will be available to those with 12 months or less to live (much better than the six months proposed in Westminster). A big step forward for choice and compassion. Well done IOM! 🎉

We’ve been so moved seeing the #FundThePlan videos over the past few weeks.

Now, we want to get our call to #FundThePlan out far and wide. Here’s a little something we’ve put together for the campaign.

We’d love your help making some noise with it 🙏

The thing about trying to cut PIP by making the assessments harder is that's exactly what the last government tried to do by introducing PIP (replacing DLA) in the first place. And it didn't work - costs went up.

So why is this going to work?

ULEZ works. It’s that simple.

Expanding the Ultra Low Emission Zone wasn’t a decision I took lightly, but the latest figures show that it was the right one for the health of millions of Londoners.

The level of willfully incorrect info in the media about @kimleadbeatermp.bsky.social UK #AssistedDying Bill and its process through Parliament is astonishing.

With over a month until the delivery plan is finalised, ministers can still reconsider the resources behind it.

We want to show them why it is important to #FundThePlan.

Delighted to see my LD colleague @helenmorganlibdem.bsky.social write in The Times that the forthcoming government Delivery Plan for ME must has ambition, clear targets and resources to make a meaningful difference. As a member of the APPG ME I’ll do what I can. #pwME have waited too long.
"Thousands of patients in dark rooms are looking to the government to prove it is on their side." Writes @helenmorganlibdem.bsky.social

With no further funding for the ME delivery plan, will it just be more tokenism & dismissal for #pwME?

'Journalists find it more interesting to ask whether the bill is in trouble, even on scant evidence, even if the answer is pretty straightforwardly: Not really, no'

That's #carspreading. Our new campaign is calling on city leaders to make parking policies fairer by varying costs based on the size of a car.

This is a welcome change and would improve the proposed system in terms of safeguards and workability.
By introducing an Assisted Dying Commission led by a High Court Judge & expert panels to oversee every decision, the safeguards of the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill are enhanced further with a multidisciplinary layer of protection⬇️
