Been pointing out for months that the public embrace of MAGA and Trumpism by many in Silicon Valley will come back to bite them. Also, I don't think it's actually representative of most people here. But would be nice if more leaders were actually willing to speak out about the atrocities.
My writing today in the @sfstandard.com: Too many Silicon Valley leaders have divested themselves of the responsibility to speak out against the Trump administration.

We can’t shrink away and hope the crisis fades.

It’s time for all of us in tech to do and say more.

Side note: Parcil also makes the PD-101, which works with more widely available filters (instead of just their proprietary ones) that I've seen folks recommend for covering protests.

You walk into this bar and show your ICE mugshot, you don't pay a dime.
Scrolling through the photos of Pam Bondi's "Minnesota rioters," it's just hero after hero. Every photo includes a cowardly DHS agent with their back to the camera.

Bondi thinks she's going to win the propaganda war with this shit, but it's never been more clear that they're losing.

Over the course of nearly two hours, this focus group provided testimonials that underscore just how perilous the once-winning issue of immigration has become for Trump. But it also spotlighted something larger.
This Focus Group Should Absolutely Terrify Trump

I've spent my day tracking down Canadian companies that have direct or indirect contracts supporting ICE operations.

So far, I've found NINE. I've reached out to all of them.

I plan to publish my video on this tomorrow, detailing the companies, contract amounts and purposes.
Following this exclusive (and excellent) piece from David, I've contacted the federal government to ask if they intend to continue subsidizing JSI Telecom in the future.

I've also contacted JSI Telecom for comment, adding them to the list of Canadian businesses working with ICE who I've contacted.
In December, the Canadian government gave $1 million to Ottawa's JSI Telecom to commercialize AI-driven data analytics.

JSI, a wiretaps and investigation support firm, had a banner year in U.S. government sales in 2025, including a big new contract with ICE.
