Big account (200K+ followers) touting report from Holocaust denier/conspiracy theorist Chuck Johnson as though it's reliable, just because it's laundered through the Epstein files. Grossly irresponsibly post, with zero vetting, by law professor Jen Taub. Unfollowing, might re-follow if she deletes.
🚨 Declassified FBI memo reveals Trump “compromised by Israel” and that Kushner was running a parallel State Department. Epstein and Dershowitz likely co-opted Mossad agents.

Plus more Russian interference and sketchy ties

The most important thing in today's Epstein files may involve 4chan. In 2011, Epstein met with 4chan creator Christopher "moot" Poole; that same day, Poole launched the /pol/ board that 3 years later would be the heart of Gamergate. And Gamergate was the start of the movements that led to Jan 6. 1/
he also appears to have met moot the same day /pol/ was (re)launched (not my image)

Yes, this friendly 2019 Jeffrey Epstein email exchange is about the owner of the Patriots, Robert Kraft. But it's more important who it is WITH: Brad Karp, the chairman of Paul, Weiss. And Karp was still chairman when Paul, Weiss became the first law firm to cave to Trump's demands in 2025. 1/

OK, so Musk was planning to go to Epstein's island, but it's not like he went there with the intent to go to a wild party or something, it was probably just some business. Excuse me, an email just came in.

This Administration is engaged in a full-frontal assault on the First Amendment.

It has weaponized the FCC against broadcasters and government critics. Now it is arresting journalists.

These actions undermine the core freedoms on which our democracy depends.

The good news is this means things are going terribly for them. The bad news is they’re going to become increasingly desperate, violent, and brutal. And have three years to escalate unless Trump can be removed first.
the arrest of journalists in minneapolis, including don lemon, is more evidence that the only move the administration knows how to make is to use force, and does not know how to respond when that force is met with defiance and indifference.

I’ve said it before: I know they’re trying to avoid sanewashing through a combination of direct quoting and dry understatement, and that’s better than just ignoring his deranged babbling, but I don’t think “dry understatement” is really what the moment calls for.

Been pointing out for months that the public embrace of MAGA and Trumpism by many in Silicon Valley will come back to bite them. Also, I don't think it's actually representative of most people here. But would be nice if more leaders were actually willing to speak out about the atrocities.
My writing today in the @sfstandard.com: Too many Silicon Valley leaders have divested themselves of the responsibility to speak out against the Trump administration.

We can’t shrink away and hope the crisis fades.

It’s time for all of us in tech to do and say more.
